It’s already holiday season for the magazines as their December edition slowly make their way into the market, and this means new pictorials for us! A number of male stars have been chosen to be the cover models for the magazines and I find it a rare occurrence since most of the time, the covers are dominated by female stars and models. I’m just happy to see a pictorial but I won’t complain at all for this feast!
November is going to arrive soon on our doorstep, and the magazines are prepared with pictorials featuring the celebrities with winter wear. The weather is getting colder, but it does not mean the beauty fall sky is going away soon. Singles, Esquire, and CeCi have courted the actors who have been active on the small screen this year to grace the pages of their magazines. Well, they know what I love and I don’t have any complaint 😉
For the past 3 weeks since Yongpal premiered, SBS has constantly released stills featuring mostly the leads, Joo-won and Kim Tae-hee. Since there are many pictures, I thought it would be good to put them in a separate post. This set of stills includes some behind-the-scenes shots and photographs of other characters. Not only is Yongpal doing extremely well in South Korea (It hit a new record of 20.4% nationwide for the sixth episode), the drama is also gaining popularity among the international community. This achievement is well-deserved, and I am very happy for Joo-won who had pulled all-nighters of 6 days while filming this drama. Take care, Joo-won! Seeing the support that Yongpal has garnered, I am sure that the production team and cast will be encouraged to continue doing their best; let’s keep supporting them! 🙂 Meanwhile, enjoy the stills below~
Four episodes into Yongpal and I really love it! It delivers in the tone, story, directing and acting- if you are thinking over whether to watch it I would strongly recommend the drama. Medical dramas may not be a popular choice among viewers, but Yongpal manages to weave in an impressive concoction touching on different areas in a medical context: the power struggle, class divide and underworld coupled with lots of action. Just like the premise, the show hints at darkness and we know that there is more to the plot than meets the eye. And you really don’t have to be a fan of the medical genre to watch it; there are great visuals, interesting characters and thrilling moments which you should see for yourself to feel that adrenaline rush 😉
With a week left before Yongpal’s premiere after Mask, SBS has released promotional material featuring the two leads, Joo Won & Kim Tae Hee. I’m so excited to see Joo Won again since the last drama of his I watched was Good Doctor. In Yongpal, he stars as a doctor Kim Tae Hyun who treats patients illegally in secret. And the reason for that is: his “clients” are usually the uber rich who are unable to seek medical treatment through the proper system due to their shady dealings which most likely are clashes with the law. Like all surgeon heroes, he is talented but what sets him apart is his willingness to treat anyone as long as they have the ability to pay. In this position, he is made aware of some scandalous happenings at the chaebol households. Wow. I’m intrigued. [Updated]
