We’re heading towards the last week of Shark and that also means Good Doctor‘s premiere is fast approaching! While I’m nervous about Shark‘s ending, I’m also excited for Good Doctor. All I want to ask from the drama gods is to make this drama good!
Entertainment Weekly visited the main cast during their poster shooting and the slot was broadcasted on 20 July. The brief interview with Joo Won, Moon Chae-won, and Joo Sang-wook gave an insight on the drama. The slot included a glimpse of Joo Won acting out his character, Moon Chae-won dressed as Tinkerbell during the poster shoot and Joo Sang-wook becoming the mood maker during the interview and also at the set. I’m actually watching for Joo Won but looks like Joo Sang-wook is set to make my heart melt too. I have no complaint at all!
Since the press conference will possibly take place next week, the official site has been given a makeover! The main page reminds me of School 2013 and Baby Faced Beauty‘s sites but no worries, that’s not the main focus there. Character stills and description have also been posted, so go ahead and learn about the characters there! The drama focuses on the Pediatric Surgery Department of Sungwon University Hospital.
***
Moon Chae-won as second year fellow Cha Eun-seo
She’s everything a child would want for a female doctor: pretty, sweet, and confident. Her love for the children under her care makes her faithful and committed for her work but her outspoken and frank character often causes rows between Eun-seo and her superiors.
Joo Won as first year resident Park Shi-on
A special child who is a lacking physically but strives to become a real doctor. Slurred speech, awkward posture and has trouble expressing his thoughts, will he be able to become a real surgeon then?
Joo Sang-wook as Associate Professor Kim Do-han
The best pediatric surgeon with certified talent which naturally contributes to his stern attitude in work: no mistakes will be tolerated since the hospital is a battlefield! Sparta Kim? Probably.
Kim Min-seo as Head of Management Planning Department Yoo Chae-kyung
Do-han’s fiancee who is managing the hospital for the sake of her father. Just like Do-han, she’s untouchable and and firm when it comes to work. It looks like someone is going to come in between her and Do-han despite their wedding that is fast approaching.
Chun Ho-jin as Director Choi Woo-suk
The figure behind the establishment of Pediatric Surgery Department of Sungwon University Hospital. He brings in a guy that might threaten his position as the director but he knows better about the genius guy’s ability. He’s like a father figure for Shi-on at the hospital.
Kwak Do-won as Vice Director Kang Hyun-tae
The Vice Director with many secrets behind his face, he’s struggling with the lack of financial support for the hospital.

More stills have been released to the media…and I love this one. Piggyback is so cliche but these two look super good! I might start shipping them if this continues…
Well…this engaged couple looks so comfortable with each other. They could pass as a married couple too. Heh.
Surgeon Joo Sang-wook at work. He’s supposed to look like a pro but the news reported that he looked more like a resident. Haha! It’s okay, you’re still cool as always!
Joo Won showing off his ability in public, treating an injured child.
First day at work?
Here’s the first episode preview!!

i CRACKED UP watching their “entertainment weekly” segment last week 😀 😀 joo sang-wook has always been hilarious, and i wish we could see that heo-dang side of him in his on-screen characters lol!
thank you for the goodies!! i was really hoping to avoid this one bc i KNOW i’m gonna be bawling all over the place, but… i fear… i… may just cave 😉 😉
Sadly, his characters are always cool and suave and all..unstead of a complete dork like him in real life. Please, let us watch this together!! I’m hoping that they put the focus on the doctors and tone down the hospital politics..and I’ll be a happy camper.
I never tried a medical kdrama before, so honestly, I don’t really know what to expect ^^;;
can you imagine what a riot he’d be if they let him be himself?! ^^
i would looove it if they didn’t touch hospital politics… but juding from the AWESOME veteran actors they’ve got in chun ho-jin and kwak do-won… i fear we’re gonna get a healthy dose of it xD
oh my goodness, your first medical kdrama??? ^^ ^^ ^^ i hope this one’s fab just for youuu!! 😀
We can’t really run away from business and politics, especially workplace politics when it comes to kdramas 🙂 All for the main quartet, bring it on! Is it weird that I didn’t watch My Daughter Seo-young, but when I see Chun Ho-jin,I still view him as Seo-young’s daddy 🙂
I wish to see KBS being more generous with the BTS, then we can see the two dorks (JW & JSW) when the camera’s not rolling 😉
