Dramas come and go but some of them stay with us for a long, long time. The previous Wed-Thu battle between Descendants of the Sun and Please Come Back, Mister ended in April, and some of the cast are making their appearance on the pages of various magazines this month. I hope this is just the beginning to more pictorials~
Song Joong-ki made a successful post-army comeback through DOTS, which made his name known to, literally, the entire world. I bet people will recognize him just like they did with Lee Min-ho and Kim Soo-hyun (just to name a few!) before. He is featured on the May cover of Harper’s BAZAAR Korea decked in Louis Vuitton from top to toe.
Besides the main leads Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, the GooWon couple also rose to popularity through the drama. Jin Goo, who finally gets to bask under the limelight after all these years, appears in Cosmopolitan, together with “Dr Chi-hoon” Onew (although not in the same pictorial), who received favourable reviews for his first acting gig in the drama. I hope this will bring in more great projects for Jin Goo especially on the big screen, because that was where I first fell for him 😉
Kim Ji-won finally got the recognition she deserves all this while and she’s rocking both flowery and pinky looks for spring in InStyle and Singles. She has been steadily building her resume mostly in dramas, and this might be a good chance for her new fans to discover her past dramas. All eyes are on her next project, and I wish her all the best!
Although the drama was mostly overshadowed by DOTS’s monstrous ratings, Please Come Back, Mister gained its own following both locally and internationally, and Rain shares his thoughts on doing the drama with Cosmo Men. Looks like that LV shirt is the it item this season, because it can be seen in almost every magazine, worn by different celebrities.
Oh Yeon-seo also made an impact through her portrayal as a man in a woman’s body, which is definitely not something that can be achieved easily. Although her character in the drama sported long hair throughout the series, she appeared with a short cut at the end. It is a nice change to see actresses changing hairstyles once in a while and Oh Yeon-seo is just alluring on the cover of SURE.
