2014, for her, is one busy year: out of four dramas aired in the Mon-Tue slot on MBC, Baek Jin-hee starred in three of them: Empress Ki, Triangle, and Pride and Prejudice. She also made a debut in a variety show Law of the City and traveled to New York. She made a smooth transition from supporting characters to landing major roles, not to mention her evil girl portrayal in Empress Ki was a successful one although she held low expectations in the beginning. This lady even sacrificed her long locks for her role in Pride and Prejudice, proving her commitment to her profession as an actress.

Despite starring in dramas with decent ratings, she couldn’t escape the pressure behind the scenes while filming her dramas. She actually suffered from hair loss due to stress while filming Empress Ki and had to be sent to the emergency ward when she was in the midst of shooting for Triangle. She is a hardworking actress, believing that hard work will be rewarded with good results.

Talking about her drama roles, Baek Jin-hee did not regret changing her hairstyle for Pride and Prejudice, and she is happy if someone will remember it as Han Yeol-mu’s hairstyle. After being cast as a villain and playing the heroine in a melodrama, she wants to try out a pleasant and cheerful character next and expresses her desire to act in a rom-com. She has the confidence to do so!

The 24-year old actress also talks about her charity work and she is planning to visit another country for that reason after she wraps up filming for her currently airing drama. Treating the volunteer work as her way of self-healing, she enjoys watching the kids play, just like a big sister she is in her family! Baek Jin-hee shows how much she loved her visit to Indonesia earlier in August, as she expresses her wish to eat more tropical fruits when she visit another tropical country. Looks like she’s planning a longer vacation after Pride and Prejudice as she also wants to go for a holiday with her family. Yup, take your time and make a comeback with a rom-com!
