Baby-faced Baek Jin-hee is back with another pictorial after a while with Oh Boy! magazine. It feels like forever since the last time I posted her pictorial because of the time constraint (I even missed her pretty Jeju pictorial with allure back in May ;~;) and I’ve been a bad fan, not watching her recent shows except for few early episodes of My Daughter Geum Sa-wol (I couldn’t keep up with it huhu). Here’s hoping that I can get behind Missing Nine one day despite the mixed reviews, but for now, let me appreciate the beauty~!
I really have to thank SURE for featuring my favourites for its upcoming April issue; first with Son Ho-joon and this time, the magazine courts Baek Jin-hee for a beauty pictorial. She recently wraps up filming the long My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol and currently in talks to join Namgoong Min in Beast’s Beauty, a new SBS weekend drama by the writer-PD duo of The Girl Who Sees Smells. I really hope she will sign up and gains her momentum again through the drama, plus I will get my favourites as the leads! Win-win. Baek Jin-hee also shares her beauty tip together with the pictorial, but it would be nice to have more shots..
Grazia has decided to feature actress Baek Jin-hee in the magazine again, this time decked in vibrant and pastel colours from the fall collection of United Colors of Benetton for its second October edition. We are lucky to get lots of shots this time because of the clothing line, considering how stingy the magazine is when it comes to releasing shots of decent quality online. The female lead of currently airing drama My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol looks youthful and radiant in this pictorial, and I can’t help but to be reminded of Song Ha-yoon’s style in the drama because of Baek Jin-hee’s hairstyle here!
What have I gotten myself into this time? That was the question I repeatedly asked myself while watching the latest episodes of My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol, because seeing Deuk-ye being kicked around and stomped on by Man-hoo’s family is totally a rage-inducing experience. Wow, my heart boils at the sight of the family, but I’m hanging onto the hope that she will make her revenge slow and painful. It’s not much, but it has started. YES.
I was cautious before I started watching My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol because I can’t really tolerate weekend dramas, so I was ready with the possibility of having myself screaming at the screen. But then, I find the first week tolerable and entertaining. Although I am here for the young cast, the story of mommies and daddies is interesting, and I can’t wait to see how these people will make an impact in their children’s life later.
Just like what I thought, MBC’s up and coming weekend offering, My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol, lives up to its writer’s credential: there are warring families, old grudges, mistaken identities, swapped babies, inferiority complexes, family secrets, and last but not least, friendship and rivalry. Strangely enough, the new work of writer Kim Sun-ok feels like a potentially good family drama, although the time slot is well known for its tendency to go all the way down the makjang route. Well, I am hoping that the show will surprise me, and surpass the sensational hit last year, Jang Bo-ri is Here!, which made it possible for its resident evil second lead Lee Yoo-ri to bring home the Daesang in the station’s drama awards.
September is shaping up to be one interesting month with a slew of new dramas coming our way, which means the return of the celebrities we love! Baek Jin-hee and Park Se-young are making their comeback to the small screen through MBC’s weekend drama My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol, and both of them are featured in September issues of Grazia and @star1, respectively.
In case you missed the latest casting news in the kdrama circle, SBS has decided to put its historical drama of the year on the Monday-Tuesday slot. Six Flying Dragons, the latest project from the combo which brought us the brilliant Tree with Deep Roots, is slated to air after High Society in September, but I am so freaking ecstatic already, although we are only in mid-May! There are many reasons to be excited for it, and here are some of them…
Because there’s nothing better than looking at the pictures of your favourite people on a lazy Sunday morning. And hey, it’s already March!
I have no doubt that this lovely lady might be one of the busiest actresses this year. I nearly missed this pictorial but thank God I didn’t, because the interview, despite being short, shows Baek Jin-hee’s reflection on 2014 and her future plans. Cosmopolitan Korea presents to us the trendy icon Baek Jin-hee in its January 2015 edition.
