2015 continues to be a great year for Moon Geun-young: she has her movie comeback through Sado/The Throne; variety comeback through Two Days One Night; and soon, drama comeback through The Village: Achiara’s Secret. Allure Korea features the 29-year old actress in a photo shoot for its October edition and Moon Geun-young shares her thoughts on her latest movie as well as her life in the accompanying interview. As much as I love her recent two-toned hair (because it’s purple!), the short hair does suit her adorable self^^
August is coming to an end soon, which means September will be here with lots of new offerings! Although it will be another long wait for the movie to be subbed, the thought of getting to watch Sado/The Throne alone makes me so, so excited. The main trailer has been released yesterday following the first teaser and character teaser before, and the production conference was held last week, with Director Lee Joon-ik and actors Song Kang-ho and Yoo Ah-in in attendance. But the reason I’m posting the teasers in a separate post? Moon Geun-young.
After what seems like an eternity, Director Lee Joon-ik’s much anticipated movie Sado (English title The Throne) has finally confirmed its premiere month. Set to hit the big screens of South Korea this September. Aside from the director, whose past works include the award-winning Wish (2013) and The King and the Clown (2005), the historical movie boasts star-studded cast, led by Chungmuro veteran, Song Kang-ho and Yoo Ah-in.
[Specially written for Soompi’s 15th Anniversary. Thanks a lot, Susan! ;)]
Hello! I am muchadoboutlove, a blogger at the talking cupboard. I’ve been an avid drama watcher since I was young, thanks to my father. Korean drama is my latest obsession and the blog was created to become my drama watching diary. Soompi is one of the earliest sites I frequented when I first got my very own internet connection and it’s the first forum site I’ve ever registered with under the name kaeruchan (that is my nickname back in secondary school). It’s not too much to say that I got to learn so many things and meet amazing people through the wonderful site that is Soompi. For the 15th anniversary of Soompi, I feel so honoured and flattered to be given this opportunity to write for Soompi.
Have you ever encountered a couple or pairing in a K-drama or a K-movie that wasn’t the OTP (One True Pairing) or the main couple, but you loved this couple as much, or even more than the main couple? I have a few, or indeed, a handful of these pairings that I really wish to see again, paired together in a drama. Since these actors and actresses, who were once second leads, rise to become the main leads nowadays, it can be hard to see them meet again in dramas, but a fan like me can dream…right?
One of the signs of myself drowning into the addiction of a certain drama is endless playback of the videos. That includes the BTS, trailers, previews, and MVs. Cheongdamdong Alice has that effect on me and I’m still watching the episodes again and again, followed by marathoning and hunting for BTS. I just can’t get enough of Se-kyung and Seung-jo! Someone save me!
