There have been so many dramas that I wanted to check out recently, having heard many good things such that I didn’t want to give them a miss. This is why my watch-list has been piling exceptionally high up in these 2 months or so…therefore in an attempt to clear the list I decided to do a drama marathon and chose Please Come Back, Mister. As I dived into the show, I thought that I was only in for mainly funny substance but I was surprised at how emotional I got watching this. And these feelings don’t seem to go away – I even felt a bit sad that I finished the drama in 4 days, ha.
Ridiculously funny and yet filled with so much heart. Worth the watch even if you’re not really into fantasy (like me). I actually liked it more than I expected to – it was pretty unbelievable. 😛

Living up to its tagline ‘Joseon youth fairy tale’, Mirror of the Witch leaves people in awe of its first outing this week, despite the strong competition it had in Dear My Friends, tvn’s rival drama on the same time slot. I try not to set my anticipation too high in case it falters halfway into the story, but at least the pilot left a deep impression on me. As a scaredy cat myself (who can’t even watch any horror movies/dramas with ghosts alone), I can attest that the first two episodes are dark and eerie but with a sad, beautiful undertone in the shots.

Maybe it’s the silence; maybe it’s the space; maybe it’s the conversation that takes place; or maybe, it’s a combination of all three: the silence between them and the conversation that follows afterwards, as if there is no space between them. I can’t quite pinpoint what is it exactly that makes me like this drama so much even if it is quite early into the series. Still, four episodes are enough for the viewers to weigh in whether the drama will be actually watchable or not, but for me, I’m in for Oh Hae-young Again. Oh wait, I think I know why now. It makes my heart flutters like crazy.

I am only publishing this post when we are one-third into May because most of the shows premiering this month are coming this weekend, and another reason being me avoiding Oh Hae-young‘s spoilers like crazy. Hehehe! May is the month of comeback for actors and writers alike, plus with the season in full bloom, every single drama seems to incorporate spring into their promo materials and scenes. I have no complaint at all, because who does not love to have more love in the air, in terms of cherry blossoms and blue skies?

Another thing I like about Lee Je-hoon’s interview is how consistent he is with his answers. He still think of himself as someone who is not fun to be with, but he is like a wholly different person when it comes to his favourite subjects: movies and acting. I think a person looks the best when s/he is talking about what s/he loves the most, with all the passion and enthusiasm for the interests. The actor talks a bit more about Signal in the interview with ELLE, also sharing about his (possible) ideal type. Read on and enjoy the interview^^
