I know that this is late (to be exact, it has been sitting in my draft for a month!) but here it is, at last, the translation for Lee Je-hoon’s short interview with L’Officiel HOMMES December issue. It has been quite an eventful year for our beloved actor, with his successful drama comeback through Signal earlier this year and his movie Phantom Detective in May. He took his time choosing his next projects and settled with drama Tomorrow with You (that will meet us in February) and movie Park Yeol. Well, enjoy the interview… and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I can’t wait for 2017 and more of Lee Je-hoon next year!
Well, it sure takes a long time for me to complete the translation this time, but it’s finally here! CeCi courted Lee Je-hoon for a laid back pictorial and interview which felt more personal than ever, and of course, with less restriction and more fun! He was not promoting anything at the time of the interview, having concluded his promotion for Phantom Detective recently and taking his sweet time going through scenarios, weighing in his next project. He has made his decision to star alongside Shin Min-ah in the time-traveling romance Tomorrow With You, slated for 2017 airing date on tvn. That will be his comeback drama and his return to the Fri-Sat slot on the channel, one year after Signal. Another special thing about his appearance on CeCi this August is he is featured on the cover for Korean and Chinese edition of the magazine. Check out the interview!
I did not expect to have another pictorial of Lee Je-hoon after he concluded the promotion for his latest movie Phantom Detective last month, but Singles have been so generous to court him for another photo shoot, putting him on a plane to Hawaii earlier this month, on the day of Baeksang Arts Awards. Although he did not get to walk on the red carpet or appear at the event with Signal team, at least we get this pictorial…with his slightly longer hair. Me likey.
Another thing I like about Lee Je-hoon’s interview is how consistent he is with his answers. He still think of himself as someone who is not fun to be with, but he is like a wholly different person when it comes to his favourite subjects: movies and acting. I think a person looks the best when s/he is talking about what s/he loves the most, with all the passion and enthusiasm for the interests. The actor talks a bit more about Signal in the interview with ELLE, also sharing about his (possible) ideal type. Read on and enjoy the interview^^
Here’s a good thing about having your favourite people in a project: he is literally everywhere, be it on the television screen or in the magazines. Lee Je-hoon’s goodies keep coming at us, especially with his new movie Phantom Detective coming to Korean screens tomorrow. He is also doing around the cinemas doing stage greetings for the movie screening aside for appearing on a number of shows to promote the movie. Who would have thought that he will be getting himself wet in Running Man, making his appearance again on Happy Together, or showing his refrigerator in Please Take Care of My Refrigerator? Perhaps, the most surprising thing was when he actually talked about his love life on public broadcast and in interviews. While waiting for his appearance in the variety shows, enjoy this interview^^
Today is chock full of goodies because it’s raining pictorials left and right! The highlight of the day (for me at least) has to be Lee Je-hoon, who has not one, but two magazine spreads for the upcoming month of May. He has started promoting for his upcoming drama Detective Hong Gil-dong/Phantom Detective and that explains the sudden flurry of news and pictorials of him ELLE chooses a darker indoor shoot for his feature in the magazine, whereas GQ takes him outside for bright and refreshing shots under the sunshine. Check out the released pictures so far, with more to come (hopefully)! He will also appear on Please Take Care of My Refrigerator with Kim Sung-kyun on the 9th and 16th of May, and on Vapp movie channel tomorrow at 4.30 PM KST.
Just when I am leaving for a short getaway, Lee Je-hoon gets a new pictorial! I guess that is just my luck, but I have no complaint at all~ From a profiler cum detective to a private detective, the actor who received a lot of love through his portrayal as Park Hae-young in Signal will be making his movie comeback through Detective Hong Hil-dong: the Lost Village (English title Phantom Detective) this May, and he is decked in Hazzys for 1st Look Vol 108. Check out the colourful shots!
It sure feels like forever waiting for the movie to be out, but the wait is almost over for Phantom Detective (formerly known as Detective Hong Gil-dong). The movie is finally set for May release, after a year of post-production since the filming wrapped up in April last year. All eyes are on the project after Lee Je-hoon’s successful drama Signal aired earlier this year, and this will be his first movie after his completion of military service.
I don’t know why, but I find myself dreading the ending of Signal this week. It is rare to have such an enjoyable drama that is near perfection in every aspect, and I don’t think I will be able to say goodbye to the drama without shedding a few liter of tears. I feel like translating this recent interview of Lee Je-hoon with CINE21, so here it is…although my writing is a bit rusty these days. I will miss you dearly, Park Hae-young ㅠㅠ
These two names are probably more familiar in movieland than in dramas, but the two actors are going to appear on the small screen with upcoming cable drama Signal on tvN! Given the stellar cast, it’s like we’re in for a movie 😉 The hype has been around since forever, and the show’s premise sounds very intriguing. They have been featured on the January issue of Vogue and the background of the pictures have Signal’s synopsis as their theme with radios, an hourglass as well as other communication devices. Both Lee Je-hoon and Jo Jin-woong look so fine in leather jackets, coats and suits ❤ What a delight to see them in a pictorial together!
