Do you feel beat up after the long Valentine’s Day yesterday? Fear not, CN Blue’s Jung Yonghwa is here to help you recover from the stress (of spending your time alone, or picking up chocolates for your loved ones) by staring at his face in his latest pictorial for HIGH CUT. Yep, thanks for reminding me that lazy Sunday is a thing, Yonghwa!
It’s already mid-November and I’ve realized that I only managed to complete a total of four full-length dramas this year. Gasp! The past me would be rushing to finish whatever dramas I’ve put aside throughout the year because I used to hate dropping dramas without finishing them, but since I learned the joy (and relief) of being able to drop dramas, it’s like a new world for me. Definitely less dramas, but more time to deal with more pressing issues of real life. Or is it the other way around? Anyway, I’m back to civilization for these few days and that means..catching up with my dramas!
Sometimes I feel that I was being pampered with lots of promotional materials when a drama aired and now, the week seems empty without much spoilers from Three Musketeers. That kind of explains why I am grinning widely while reading all the news from a press conference held on September 11 at the filming site in Gyeonggi-do. The cast seems careful not to spoil the plot but they promise that the story will take a new turn starting this week. I’m already invested in the series but for those who are still on the fence about watching it, this might be a good news for you!
There’s a month left until the premiere of tvn’s new drama Three Musketeers on 17 August and the cast is already participating in promoting the drama, including a pictorial for VOGUE. They will be dressed in fine Joseon garbs for the drama itself but for the photo shoot, the four leads: Lee Jin-wook, Jung Yong-hwa, Yang Dong-geun, and new actor Jung Hae-in, will be grazing the pages decked in tailored suits (and armor). I’m so excited for the drama and this teaser photo for the spreads make it better!
[Specially written for Soompi’s 15th Anniversary. Thanks a lot, Susan! ;)]
Hello! I am muchadoboutlove, a blogger at the talking cupboard. I’ve been an avid drama watcher since I was young, thanks to my father. Korean drama is my latest obsession and the blog was created to become my drama watching diary. Soompi is one of the earliest sites I frequented when I first got my very own internet connection and it’s the first forum site I’ve ever registered with under the name kaeruchan (that is my nickname back in secondary school). It’s not too much to say that I got to learn so many things and meet amazing people through the wonderful site that is Soompi. For the 15th anniversary of Soompi, I feel so honoured and flattered to be given this opportunity to write for Soompi.
Have you ever encountered a couple or pairing in a K-drama or a K-movie that wasn’t the OTP (One True Pairing) or the main couple, but you loved this couple as much, or even more than the main couple? I have a few, or indeed, a handful of these pairings that I really wish to see again, paired together in a drama. Since these actors and actresses, who were once second leads, rise to become the main leads nowadays, it can be hard to see them meet again in dramas, but a fan like me can dream…right?
