The family spent their first weekend in NYC and their first Law Day was filled with the activity to bring them closer to the citizens of New York that was the family marathon at the Central Park. Ailee had invited her friend to come over, hence the family would have their first guest! New people, new things to be learned, and probably..new twist in their fate?
The family welcomed an additional member, Ailee, in the previous episode, and she proved to be a great help to the new citizens of NYC. They also found out the secret of their neighbourhood, Greenpoint, which turned out to be a popular filming site for various television series as well as housing the indoor sets for the series. They also continued their quest for jobs and this week, they were about to experience several things that might be familiar to most of them..or not.
The NY Family grew accustomed to their new home and in the previous episode, they got the chance to have real interactions with the people living around them, including the Korean immigrants who had helped them getting hired for the first time in NYC. They were given the opportunity to experience the how of the immigrants were living, working hard while getting used to the foreign surroundings and adapting to the bustling life of the city. New day brings new challenges for them..and a new family member, too! Not to forget, the narrator for today is the future family member, John Park 😀 I like his hearty laugh!
We’re done with the introduction part and now, the NY Family members need to earn money on their own. Their first day in NYC was not without drama and they’re now on their own to make their living. Without any professional help or money to embark on their quest for jobs, would it be a successful second day or would they return home with empty hands?
So…some of us might have heard about SBS’s variety show Law of the City back in April when the cast traveled to New York. The program caught my attention because Baek Jin-hee is one of the cast included in the lineup and yeah, I adore her to bits. I tried searching for any information about it on the internet but it was basically nonexistent, probably because the only the first two episodes have been aired and there’s no news about any subbing team picking up the project to be subbed. I thought that it’s good for a change to follow a variety program closely and watch the bubbly Jin-hee displaying her charms onscreen, so I’ve decided to provide a summary of the show. Plus, it’s going to take place in New York, a place where I’ve never set foot on even once, so it’s probably going to be a virtual travel for me.
