My thoughts on another drama which concluded last month- this time we got to see the “real” behind the “reel” and vice versa.
One of the dramas with the most hype even before it began its run: The Producers was highly anticipated because of its use of real-life broadcasting channel KBS (Korean Broadcasting System) in South Korea as the setting in this fictional story, as well as referencing to real names of people, and then the horde of cameos right from the start. I especially like that KBS took the risk to experiment a new filming style for the drama- mockumentary as seen in the interviews of the various characters within the show.

One week into my two-week holiday, I’ve come to realize that I’m having a love-hate relationship with dramas for the time being. I was planning to watch the dramas that I haven’t watched before this but my mood for those dramas soon disappeared into thin air. Thank God Master’s Sun still grabs my heart and tickle my funny bone but the sudden turn of events in the drama makes me want to escape the ‘torture’ of watching the drama, even for a while.

…has crept up into my radar. The year hasn’t even changed the number, yet I’m here, already picking out which one to be watched and which one to be pushed back for viewing later. It’s not like dramas are my subjects at my university (as if drama watching can be considered as part of engineering? wishful thinking), but if it’s going to be amazing, I won’t be the one who’d like to miss the fun, but the ‘drama’ neuron and the ‘life’ neuron in my brain are fighting over this issue right now..
