Kim So-eun trades in her hanbok and dark makeup of Hye-ryung for a softer look in Grazia’s August edition. The actress, currently staring in the Wed-Thu drama Scholar Who Walks the Night, becomes the magazine’s model for European cosmetic brand Siero, portraying different looks of soft smoky makeup trend in the pages of Grazia. She looks lovely in the released pictures, and I can’t thank God enough the drama has finally decided to increase her screen time this week…or I might continue to complain about it!
Vampire has become a trend in Kdramaland this year, with Blood and currently airing Orange Marmalade giving us a taste of the Kdrama vampires. Scholar Who Walks the Night will take the trend to fictional Joseon this July, and more news has came out as MBC prepares for the drama premiere. This is also another adaptation of manhwa of the same title so expectation is high for the series to come out well.
Now that the December pictorials for the magazines are slowly being released to the Korean media, it finally hit me that 2014 is really ending soon. This year surely has its ups and downs for everyone, but it’s ending soon! I’m happy to see that the magazines are featuring a handful of actors and actresses for the final edition of the year, because what’s better than spending your time peering at their beautiful faces?
[Specially written for Soompi’s 15th Anniversary. Thanks a lot, Susan! ;)]
Hello! I am muchadoboutlove, a blogger at the talking cupboard. I’ve been an avid drama watcher since I was young, thanks to my father. Korean drama is my latest obsession and the blog was created to become my drama watching diary. Soompi is one of the earliest sites I frequented when I first got my very own internet connection and it’s the first forum site I’ve ever registered with under the name kaeruchan (that is my nickname back in secondary school). It’s not too much to say that I got to learn so many things and meet amazing people through the wonderful site that is Soompi. For the 15th anniversary of Soompi, I feel so honoured and flattered to be given this opportunity to write for Soompi.
Have you ever encountered a couple or pairing in a K-drama or a K-movie that wasn’t the OTP (One True Pairing) or the main couple, but you loved this couple as much, or even more than the main couple? I have a few, or indeed, a handful of these pairings that I really wish to see again, paired together in a drama. Since these actors and actresses, who were once second leads, rise to become the main leads nowadays, it can be hard to see them meet again in dramas, but a fan like me can dream…right?
..by watching dramas. I know, looks like it’s not a great activity for some people but finally I get my chance to watch the dramas that I didn’t have time to watch before this, or those that I dropped due to lack of interest. For the time being, I’m being grateful to myself (such a narcissist) because I’ve never deleted any series that I haven’t watched till the end and I got to view life from a very different point.
