It’s already April (time really flies), and I thought I should sum up my 2015 with dramaland. My apologies for it coming so very late, but here’s the list of last year’s dramas I’ve completed and some thoughts about them. As usual, Korea has lots of titles to offer each year but abundance also means that really good dramas can be hard to come by. It’s almost a one in a million chance for us to find a show that can fully blow us away! However, that is also why I continue to be a drama fan even as time passes: because there are gems not to be missed 🙂 The drama choices we have seem never-ending now that there are cable networks (compared to just the Big 3 back then). Furthermore, 2015 is also the year I discovered some great shows outside kdramas!
[Hello everyone! Mimi’s here. I’m really excited to introduce the latest addition to the members of the cupboard. Say hi to Jas aka dramalandloverj! She will be sharing her thoughts on kdramas here at the talking cupboard, so be on the lookout for her posts! Enjoy her take on dramas she has watched in the first half of the year 2015~]
It feels like the year just started but it’s already the second half of 2015. Time really flies; I’ve seen dramas come and go for the past ~6.5 months. I have to say that the ride with dramaland has been both breathtaking and heart-stopping so far. Before I go into the specifics, I shall tell you a little about myself.
It’s downright scary how distant the dramas can be when you’re swamped with lots of things to do in real life, and it’s even scarier to have the thought of abandoning this space altogether. The good news is I’m still here, although not that frequent, but the drama watching and blogging activities have been reduced drastically, especially in the recent months. Still, I am proud that I have finished quite a number of dramas this year and it’s just fair to give a brief updates on which shows I am following these days…
Vampire has become a trend in Kdramaland this year, with Blood and currently airing Orange Marmalade giving us a taste of the Kdrama vampires. Scholar Who Walks the Night will take the trend to fictional Joseon this July, and more news has came out as MBC prepares for the drama premiere. This is also another adaptation of manhwa of the same title so expectation is high for the series to come out well.
