One week into my two-week holiday, I’ve come to realize that I’m having a love-hate relationship with dramas for the time being. I was planning to watch the dramas that I haven’t watched before this but my mood for those dramas soon disappeared into thin air. Thank God Master’s Sun still grabs my heart and tickle my funny bone but the sudden turn of events in the drama makes me want to escape the ‘torture’ of watching the drama, even for a while.
The young ones take their final bows and it’s the time for their adult counterparts to take over the stage. Time flies, almost unnoticed by some people, but quite slow for others. If someone could turn back the time, what would they do? Stay the same, or try to change what they’ve done? Although we can plan and do whatever it takes for our future, the future still holds many great surprises for us and at times, the regret is going to get us for whatever we have done in the past.
Is this the fate’s game? Trampling over the people’s lives, throwing them into the deepest, blackest hole in their hearts. To me, the characters are not at total fault for their greed and betrayal. It’s the cruel fate that’s giving reasons for them to act almost inhumanely. What can they do when at one point, they can only choose to protect one side and eventually sacrifices the other side?
It’s been a while since I last watched a drama centered around revenge and betrayal, so that probably explains why I’m so into this drama right now. The story has its direction perfectly set, while the characters aren’t going to be the same as before. I yell in frustration a few times during my course of watching this episode but I feel good and find myself anticipating the next episodes.
Surprise surprise!! I never thought that I would be sucked so hard into watching The Equator Man..but after being thrown with intriguing teasers and (probably) my mind’s yearning for some melodrama and makjang, I think I have to put my watching experience into the recaps. Although it comes third in terms of ratings after the other two premiering dramas, it’s still early to judge the three of them, whether in terms of ratings and other things. Let’s just hope everything will improve as the story develops.
