2012 Appreciation Post

For various reasons, this year’s appreciation post is going to be longer compared to last year, simply because I watched quite a handful of dramas and I have a lot of things to be thankful for. I have to admit that 2012 isn’t the best year in my life as a student, but I’m grateful that I something that I can hold on to, just to escape the reality at times. Now that seems a little depressing O.O but student’s life is not normal without any sign of stress, right? Back to the dramas, I think I’ve watched more dramas this year and at one point, I even juggled eight currently airing dramas at that time. Crazy, but I managed to finish most of them.

Rings and Earrings: throughout the Dynasties

In sageuk, especially those centered around Joseon Dynasty, we often see the female characters with hairpins and wigs but they rarely wear the usual accessories that we have today such as bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings. In fact, I’ve never seen any of the Joseon women wear earrings, something that perks up my interest. I become more intrigued when I see some of the male characters in Faith wearing earrings more often than the women. Hence, my curiosity ends when I find what I’ve been looking for.

Keeping My Faith Intact

It’s been only two weeks since I had the chance to catch up with Faith, and although I didn’t follow it closely from the beginning, I find myself slowly drawn into the drama, thanks to the few charms that the drama has in its possession. I might not be an avid fan of Faith for me to go scouring the web for stills and making videos, but one thing I am sure right now: I will stay in the bandwagon until the end. That being said, I’m willing to keep my faith intact for the drama Faith.
